Just saw these amazing photos on the Naturephotographer's website, thought I would like to share with you all. Fascinating read of how this particular photographer managed to capture his dream shots. Perhaps someday we can do it too...

wow... really need 1/8000? 1/2000 not enough?He did quote from another photographer who used to do flight shots of this kf, he replied that "1/15,000 sec is required to freeze the motion of the bird." :eek: So I guess he took a gamble, since he knew that the bird's motion would be slower after diving into the water as the water would slow it down, hence he set it at 1/8000, which was the top shutter speed on his DSLR. You would probably need as fast a shutter speed as possible to 'freeze' the bird and ensure tack sharp details.

Hmm... Andy Rouse! One of my fav wildlife photographer from UK. Always love to read his articles in PP magazine :thumb:
