dear all
This is the image I get from a 2x TC (canon) on 100-400mm lens. Am I missing something? It is not as sharp as those that was posted in the forum.
The image had been sharpen by PS already....
Help !!!

Erm, 2x is inherently soft, 100-400 is also CA prone. 5.6 x 2 you manual focus? I think you should get the 400mm f/5.6 that Eric bought. Primes work better with TCs. And after sharpening on image, and you resize for web, sharpen it again.

If you want good quality images with TCs, go for prime lenses.

100-400 with a 1.4x still acceptable but not 2x.
you need a prime to use 2x to the fullest (preferably the f2.8 lenses)

btw for people who wish to get 2x TC,
kenko 2x can perform as good as the canon one... so don't have to waste money. my 2cents la.
