Hi,

Anyone knows where to buy flash accessories such as flash brackets, flash hotshoes adapter (ie, just the hotshoe), screws used in the flash brackets, etc, etc...

Cathay? TK Photo? I know Alan Photo doesn't sell such things...

Cathay? TK Photo? I know Alan Photo doesn't sell such things...Flash bracket, you can get from Cathay Photo PP. They are selling the modular Wimberley Flash Bracket (http://www.tripodhead.com/products/flash-bracket-telephoto-brackets.cfm) system, which costs about $400+ (that was when I bought it more than a year ago, not sure abt now.). I am not sure what u mean by "flash hotshoe adaptor", but you would need to buy the Canon off-shoe cord to be able to use this flash bracket.

Joe, in case you are interested too, this modular flash bracket can be adjusted to suit Sidekick mounted lenses. Provided your lens plate is long enough. (a P-30 (http://www.tripodhead.com/products/lens-plates-main.cfm) or equivalent sized plate would be fine).

Haha eric, I am also itching for the Wimberley flash bracket and the hotshoe cable but no approval given by home affairs minister yet :D CP sells them but no stock for the hotshoe cable :(

Alan Photo has stock for the hotshoe cable... selling close to $100.

Steven: The hotshoe adaptor is something like one of the end hotshoe but without the cable.

I am actually looking at modifying a bracket (using aluminium strips, hotshoe adapter, screws, etc) for various usage including macros, etc. As for Wimberley flash bracket, definitely not approved by home ministeress.

hehhehe... the cable can ask USM if he has any left after his MO. I paid 380 for the flash bracket. The sidekick version should be cheaper than the gimbal one. 345 I think. Dun tell Steven Kuek I said hor. What I can say is that among all the flash brackets I have tried, Wimberly is sturdy and stiff. Got 2 sitting at home now.

What difference is there between the two versions?
